Details Of Key Individuals Of ResourceCo


Apart from administration staff the following people represent the key individuals of the ResourceCo Group:

Dr Konstant Bruinette (Chairman: ResourceCo Group) - Dr KONSTANT BRUINETTE graduated, Ph D in structural engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana Campus, USA, M Sc (Eng), and B Sc (Eng) from the University of Pretoria –all Cum Laude. He is a member of the South African Institution of Civil Engineering and a Professional Engineer registered with the Engineering Council of South Africa. He was for many years a member of the American Association of Civil Engineers. He is a leader of people and businesses with strong engineering technical and innovative abilities. He was the founder and executive chairman of BKS, one of the largest consulting engineering practices in Africa and set up and managed the international offices for BKS in Zurich, Paris and Munich.

He was the leader of the engineering design and project management team for the Acres BKS Lesotho Highlands Water Scheme consortium, of the Mossgas Oil Platform off Mosselbay in 110 meters of water, the sport stadiums at Ellispark (67 000 spectators), Loftus Versfeld ( 60 000 spectators) and Kingspark ( 60 000 spectators), the Rand Afrikaans University Campus for 30 000 students, the radio and TV studio facilities for the SABC, the office towers for Volkskas (40 storeys), Department of the Interior (35 storeys) and apartment buildings for the Department of Community Development (28 storeys).

He designed many civil engineering projects such as the Western Bypass of Johannesburg, N12 national Road from Boksburg to Springs, Airports at La Mercy and Dunnottar and runways for OR Tambo International Airport, civil services for townships on the Witwatersrand and sewer outfall works and township services for Ermelo.

He was the leader of the design and project management teams for various projects for Eskom (power station structures, hydro stations and coal handling facilities) and for Iscor (iron and manganese mine planning and the refining works.) He was the leader of the design teams for various mining projects for General Mining Corporation and Foskor (phosphates) for the design of headgears, slimes dams and the refining works.

He is the author of more than 30 technical articles published in national and international technical journals. He was the key note speaker at a number of international conferences on tall structures’ designs, new tensioned design techniques and structural failure mechanisms. He is the author of three books on various technical subjects.

Benjamin Moses (Director: ResourceCo Group) - Benjamin holds an honours degree in financial management and a master’s degree. Benjamin started his career with JP Morgan Chase working in the Business Financial Group. Benjamin's focus at JP Morgan was accounting, regulatory reporting, systems for liquidity, Forex and derivates products.

He subsequently joined FNB as Financial Manager (Branch Banking) and Dealmaker (Property Finance) before joining Mettle. Benjamin has experience in financial modelling and management, visual basic, derivatives and property finance. Benjamin is a director of Mining Energy Resources Construction Corporation Ltd and ResourceCo Group.

Hendrik Bruinette (Director: ResourceCo Group) - Hendrik is 41 years old, a qualified Chartered Accountant, “CA”, has two masters degrees in Tax and Financial Management, an Actuarial Science degree, is a CFA charter holder (USA) and also holds a UK corporate treasury qualification. Hendrik started his career at Coopers & Lybrand Auditors Inc. in 1997. He subsequently worked at Nedcor, retail and merchant bank, and then in 2000 he joined Telkom Facilities Management Corporation, “TFMC”. In 2001 he was employed at First National Bank, “FNB”, retail banking and property finance, and progressed to become the Chief Executive Officer, “CEO” of Commercial Property Finance. In 2007 he started Mettle Property Solutions, “MPS”, property finance, and served as CEO. In 2012 Hendrik started his own businesses in property, mining and finance. Hendrik worked in the treasury, innovation, branch banking, corporate and commercial banking and property divisions whilst at Nedbank and FNB. Hendrik MPS from scratch to co¬owning and managing a property development fund for HIFSA of the Old Mutual Group which will yield more than 10,000 housing units over a 10 year period. Hendrik’s present initiatives own shares in private investment entities, mining and property assets which are currently worth in excess of R200m from an investment base of R10m and also includes a Mining, Property and Project Finance raising business.

Hendrik has experience in financial modeling and management, due diligence reviews, credit analysis, valuations, corporate and property finance, mining finance, cash and risk management, and property management and development in general. Hendrik has a good network with all the local South African commercial and merchant banks, private equity firms and a solid network with business brokers and industry professionals. Hendrik has good relationships with senior individuals at HSBC, Credit Suisse, UBS and City Bank and good relationships with prominent fund raising entities in the UK, Sweden, Canada and Australia. Hendrik currently owns shares and work for Brightsky, Resourceco, HSBS, City Forest, KWJ Consulting and Legatus Trust. Hendrik is results driven and entrepreneurial and enjoys a challenge and the opportunities to be innovative and to grow his network of service and funding providers.

Shane Scott - He has an Equivalency Bsc degree from the University of Arizona in Mining Energy Management. 1989-1990 Trackless underground machinery (Tamrock, Dump trucks LHD) Operated the above machinery as an induction into the mining industry. 1990-1991 Chamber of mines training college completed mining course in metalliferous mining. 1991-1993 High speed development developer Acting Shift Boss Shift boss. (Gold) 1993-2010 Managing Member.

Has completed Contract work for CMC : West Wits Gold Mine, Rand Gold : West Wits Gold Mine, Durban Deep Gold Mine, Western Platinum Mines/ Karee Mine, Nicor (Pty) Ltd Chrome Eden, Mozambique NIASA Titanium Project, DRD North West Operations, Goudkoppies Opencast, Anglo American Platinum – Modikwa Platinum Mine, Renco Diamond mine, East plats, International Ferro Metals, Niemcor Chrome, Mooi Nooi Beneficiation Plant and has gained experience in Mine and operation Management ,total running of mining and reclamation operations, surface and Underground construction and running and converting crush plant.

Andre Botha - Started his mining career at Hartebeesfontein gold mine in 1994 as a miner and gained experience in:

In 1998 he completed his Shift Boss certificate at Hartebeestfontein GM and his Mine Overseer certificate in 2010 at Kloof GM (Goldfields). In all he has 20years experience in both Conventional and Trackless mining and had the opportunity to do Mining outside South African boarders.

Kruger van Eck - Started his mining career in 1982 at Hartebeestfontein Gold Mining Co as a Learner Official. He has since completed his Mine Overseer’s certificate in 1991 and is busy completing his Mine Manager’s Certificate.

He has also been employed at Several Mines including, but not limited to, Rustenburg Platinum Mines, JIC Mining Services, Pro-Drilling and Mining Co and Samancor.

He has experience as Shift supervisor, Shift Boss, Foreman and Mine Overseer, with technical knowledge with regards to sinking shafts, High Speed (multil blasting) development, Trackless Development, Concrete Lining of Tunnels, Development of Bypass tunnels, Sinking if cable Lift shaft, Exploration Drilling and Conventional Boxhole Development.

Track Record Of The ResourceCo Group, "RCG"


From 2011 to CURRENT

  • RCG implemented on behalf of clients an Oil and Gas transaction in Madagascar of total USD100,000,000;
  • RCG implemented on behalf of clients a Coal Greenfield project in Mozambique of total USD50,000,000;
  • RCG in 2013 implemented on behalf of clients an Oil and Gas exploration transaction in Namibia of total USD100,000,000 covering over 50 000 square kilometers;
  • RCG has completed the business case and is in the process of raising funding to commence operations at its NORCIS operation with a target date of early 2014. This project has an IRR of 50%+ over a 10 year period and an expected useful life of some 30+ years; Value of Project USD 150,000,000; Certain key technology requirements are being finalized to enable commencement;
